Something wonderful is coming back this fall.
The Adult Community Arts Centre is Halifax's home for grown-ups who want to learn the fiddle, paint, move, and make real friends — in small, warm classes with no pressure and no competition.
Registration for fall opens August 1, and our loveliest classes fill fast. Leave your name and we'll make sure you're first to know.
A place to belong — not just a class to take
Picture one hour a week that's entirely yours. A small, friendly room. A teacher who's genuinely glad you came. And a handful of people who, a few weeks in, start to feel like friends.
That's ACAC. Fiddle and piano, painting and drawing, Pilates and partner dance — whatever's been quietly calling you, there's a small class waiting for you this fall.
No recitals. No competition. No gym-class vibes. Just the joy of learning something you love, alongside good people, without breaking the bank.

A peek at what's coming this fall
🎶 Music — Violin & Fiddle (four levels, beginner to intermediate), Piano Chording, Guitar, and our monthly all-instruments Jam Class.
💃 Movement — Pilates (our most-loved class), Dance Exercise, Partner Dance, and Chair Yoga.
🎨 Art — Learn to Paint, Learn to Draw, and Studio Painting.
Every class is kept small on purpose — so you're always known, never lost in a crowd.
Why get on the list now?
Our classes are small — often just 6 to 12 people — and the favourites fill within days of registration opening. Members from last season get first pick, and our email list is next in line.
Leave your name today, and when the doors open August 1, you'll be among the first through them.
