The Nova Scotia Youth Ambassadors (NSYA) is a talented group of young violinists directed by Christy Hodder. Their performances blend Classical music with Celtic, Old-time, French Acadian, Indigenous, Metis, and Lebanese traditions of fiddling, singing and dance.

Their show can be custom to fit every event, from a very formal presentation for the Lieutenant Governor or an international conference all the way to an afternoon festival park event or a party that includes the audience in various levels of participation.

Parents sing songs and say rhymes together in Suzuki Early Childhood Education (SECE) class with the teachers. Through repetition and with the encouragement of parents and teachers, small children develop the ability to maintain a steady beat, play simple rhythms, match pitch with their singing voices, and steadily build their vocabulary. They also develop inner confidence and learn how to share with other children.
