You'll start with a quick review of the fundamentals — bow hold, posture, tone — because that's usually where the rust is and where you can find a tip to improve. Then you're playing. Simple fiddle tunes, small group, nobody watching you struggle. This is the right class if you played years ago and stopped, if you can play but never quite learned the setup properly, or you are ready to move out of the beginner level to the next step. Alex Crick teaches it. Come ready for level 2 or a bit rusty; that's the whole point. Bring your violin! Fridays 6:30–7:15 PM · Sep 18 to Dec 4 With Alex Crick · Room 1 12 weekly sessions · $154 · around $12.83 a class A note on class length Class length depends on how many people register. With three or more, the class runs the full 45 minutes. With two, it runs 30 minutes — a smaller room, closer to a semi-private, with far more individual attention per person. We'll email you the week before the term begins to confirm which it is, so you'll know before the first class. Stay for Jam Night — Fridays at 8:00. Relax on the couch or stroll to Sobeys in the break, then come back and play your tunes with friends. Brand new to the violin? Start with our Beginner Violin/Fiddle class on Wednesdays at 7:50PM.
