This is the next step after the beginner class — or the right starting point if you already chord by ear and read a lead sheet comfortably. You’ll pick up new chords and move into new keys, and spend more of the term playing with people rather than practising alongside them. Accompaniment is a group skill, and this is where it becomes one. Evan Milligan teaches it, straight after the beginner class. Bring nothing. Pianos are here for you. Tuesdays 8:00–8:45 PM · Sep 15 to Dec 1 With Evan Milligan · Room 6 12 weekly sessions · $154 · around $12.83 a class Pairs perfectly with Jam Night — Fridays at 8:00. A chance to put your new chords to work and play through tunes with friends. A note on class length Class length depends on how many people register. With three or more, the class runs the full 45 minutes. With two, it runs 30 minutes — a smaller room, closer to a semi-private, with far more individual attention per person.
