This is for solid players who want to get better. You’ll pick up tunes by ear — the way fiddle music has always been passed along — and work on tone and technique along the way. If playing by ear is the thing you’ve never quite managed, this is where you learn it. Three teachers share this class. Kimberly Holmes comes in every three weeks and leads Jam Night the same evening. Christy Hodder takes the weeks between, with Alex Crick covering when needed. Three fiddlers, three styles — you hear more than one voice. Bring your fiddle! With three or more, the class runs the full 45 minutes. With two, it runs 30 minutes — a smaller room, closer to a semi-private, with far more individual attention per person. We'll email you the week before the term begins to confirm which it is, so you'll know before the first class. Stay for Jam Night — Fridays at 8:00, straight after class. Same room, no packing up. Play the tunes you’ve just worked on with everyone else. (12 times through out the year) Newer to the fiddle?
