What do we do?
We perform! The NSYA bring live music and dance to community events, festivals, conferences, and celebrations across Halifax and Nova Scotia — sharing our province's cultural traditions with audiences of all ages. Directed by Christy Hodder, Lauchlan Peters & Tye Dacey, our young ambassadors grow as performers and as people while spreading the joy of Maritime music wherever they go. Want us at your event? Who are we?
The Nova Scotia Youth Ambassadors (NSYA) are a spirited group of young musicians and dancers from the Scotia Suzuki School of Music here in Halifax. Their performances blend classical music with the Celtic, Old-time, French Acadian, and Métis traditions of fiddling, singing, and dance — a joyful celebration of Nova Scotia's rich musical heritage.
