SSSM news – Feb / 2nd week

MARY JANE LAMMOND CONCERT May 12th, 2/7pm Mark your Calendars ALL beginner, intermediate and Senior fiddle set players and Gaelic singers at the SSSM will be guests in this amazing NSYA /Junior performance group concert with guests : Toronto’s Juno award winner Mary Jane Lammond and Cape Breton fiddler, Wendy McIssac. Details will follow.

NATAL DAY PARADE – Aug 6th On August 6th, the Scotia Suzuki School of Music will be marching as a big group in the Halifax Natal Day Parade! All students, all ages and their families are welcome. Violin players and guitar players can bring their instruments. TBA for cello players. There is a $15 fee per person for the parade and that covers your School T-shirt (if you are attending institute the next day your fee is included in your Institute tuition), parade fee, insurance and water. All parade marchers will need to register and that will start in a few months. Watch for that notice. Caleb and I will choreograph a marching show for players, dancers and singers! Those not in the marching choreography are needed to pass out school treats/fliers to the audience.
