Picture yourself walking into a warm, welcoming space where learning feels natural and joyful. Our programs offer something for every interest:

Movement & Music: Yoga, partner dance, fiddle, guitar, piano, pilates (Pilates has classes on Mondays, Tuesday and Fridays)
Creative Arts: Painting, drawing, and hands-on art classes
Life Skills: Cooking classes that bring people together around delicious food

QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING ABOUT

"I'm a complete beginner with no experience at all - will I fit in?" Absolutely! Most of our students are beginners or returning to something they once loved. Your classes are designed for people starting exactly where you are. You'll be surprised how quickly you pick things up and how supportive everyone is from beginner to experienced.

"I played my instrument a long time ago but need to start at the beginning - should I take the beginner class?" Perfect question! Yes, we recommend you take the beginner class and relax and enjoy it. You can always move to private lessons after, or work your way through our different levels. Don't put stress on yourself - when it feels a little easy, that means you're really locking down good technique, which makes you even more successful when you advance. Plus, it builds community and is just plain fun! If its hard is easy to get discouraged and give it up - but when it’s easier it can often be more joyful and you are more apt to make it “part of your life” long term.

"What if I'm too old or out of shape for this?" Age is just a number here! Our students range from young adults to folks in their 80s. Every class can be adapted to your comfort level and physical ability. Many of our most enthusiastic students started later in life and say it's the best thing they've ever done for themselves. “I just started painting this year and I cant believe how much fun I am having. I need to paint for the rest of my life every week for the rest of my life! I love my teacher. She’s so encouraging and FUN!”

"Will I look foolish or embarrass myself?" This fear is totally normal, but here's the thing - everyone is focused on their own learning, not watching you. Plus, we're all learners together! The atmosphere is so supportive and encouraging that you'll forget to be self-conscious. Adult beginner classes are specifically designed for people who may have never done this before or haven't in years as well as for those with experience.

"Do I need to buy expensive supplies or equipment?" Not at all! We'll let you know exactly what (if anything) you need for each class, and we keep it simple and affordable. All supplies can be provided or borrowed while you're getting started.

"What if I don't have time to practice or get good at this?" The beauty of our classes is that they're designed to be enjoyable whether you practice at home or not. Come as you are, learn at your own pace, and enjoy the process. There's no pressure to be perfect - just show up and have fun!
